Karla bought her first Big Bay Ray bags nearly a decade ago—both featuring charming barn animals, one for herself and one for her sister-in-law who’s a rancher—and she hasn’t looked back since. She now owns around seven bags and a couple of luggage tags.

An animal lover through and through, Karla grew up surrounded by horses, dogs, cats, and birds, and her deep compassion for animals started early. She first connected with our founder Gretchen while they were both vendors at a local event, where they bonded over their shared commitment to animal welfare—sparking a friendship rooted in mutual respect and a love for all creatures. Karla was there sharing her brilliant product Wine Buddie—a must-have for any wine lover.
